We were going to head back to Rome since it has been raining all morning and the caravan has been pretty cold at night. We wouldn’t be leaving for Rome until 1:30 pm so we decided to wait inside the camper until it arrived. About 2:00 pm, as I was heading up the hill towards the bathroom, I saw the bus. I ran back down the hill to tell the others where we grabbed our stuff and headed up the hill to catch the bus. We ended up missing it and will have to stay here for a few more days. I really wanted out of here because of the weather.
We did meet one of the busabout drivers, Gavin, (from Australia) and he tried to help us by attempting to contact the bus, but to no avail. We headed back to the camper and I managed to sleep for a little while since it was pouring down rain outside. About 5:00 pm, headed to the Pizzeria just up the road from the camper and ordered dinner. Figured it would be warmer at the Pizzeria then inside the camper. I ordered pizza with mushrooms which was really good. So used to using ranch dressing for dipping my pizza in that I missed it and wished there was ranch dressing here that I could have to go with the pizza. Decided we wouldn’t ask for the check but stay there as long as we could since none of us wanted to head back to the camper yet. After we had been sitting there awhile, Gavin showed up and joined us. Found out he is 24. We ordered a bottle of cianti wine for 9,000 lire which is $4.50 U.S and drank that hoping it would help warm us up from the cold. Then, Gavin ordered a couple of big bottles of Heineken beer. Ended up staying at the Pizzeria until about 11:00 pm. That is the longest I have stayed at any restaurant. After leaving the restaurant, I stopped by reception to see about getting some more blankets. Hoping that will help so I won’t be so cold when I try and go to sleep.
