Let me start off by saying I am sorry it has been months since my last blog post. Life throws you a curve ball and you have to deal with it, to go on; for me I needed to take a step back from writing at the time.
Now I am back; writing is something that helps me get through the tough times when life isn’t the same as it once was ….
So I bet you are wondering about the time I fell in Bucharest. It happened right outside of the Carturesti Bookstore in downtown Bucharest. Can I say how embarrassed I was when I fell right outside the steps of the store. Good thing I didn’t fall flat on my face! Can you imagine the marks that would left on me as I attempted to leave the scene of my embarrassment? Nope …. I was somewhat lucky in that I fell flat on my butt and not my face. Now if you know me, you would know I would try and make a graceful exit or leave as quickly as possible. One of those in hopes that someone didn’t see you make a fool of yourself and fall in front of everyone.
It didn’t quite work out that way …. If you’ve ever been to Bucharest and the old town part of it then you will know it is always streaming with people. There you have it. I was not alone when I fell. Someone saw me and offered their help which I declined. I got up as quickly as I could and made the swiftest exit back into the store to collect myself.
There you have it; one of my embarrassing stories while traveling. Seriously, who doesn’t want to fall down in the middle of a busy street!
Now it doesn’t mean you will fall when you try and step foot into Carturesti Bookstore . Pretty sure that only happens to me. At least I feel like I am the only person that it would happen to when trying to leave a store.
Even though I fell and feel like I made a fool of myself; don’t let my embarrassment stop you from visiting this beautiful bookstore if you are ever in Bucharest.

What have been your embarrassing stories while on the road? Did you fall down in front of a bunch of people? Did you try and walk through the door but missed it because you weren’t looking so you walked right into it? I would love to hear your stories because we all have them when we are away from home and traveling in another country.
