I headed over to the Jewish Quarter because I wanted to see the old Jewish cemetery. I walked around for awhile and bought some souvenirs. I was going to go into the cemetery but you had to purchase a ticket to see some synagogues and I wasn’t interested in seeing them. I did manage to get a partial picture of the cemetery from the gate. I took a photo of the Klaus Synagogue. Then, I walked towards Rudolfinum which is the concert hall. I made my way to Staromestske Namesti which is another name for the old town square and did some more shopping. With all this shopping, I finally bought something for myself. I bought a marionette doll. I don’t know what I am going to do with all of these souvenirs if I keep buying stuff. It’s a good thing I am back on busabout so I don’t have to carry my backpack too far.
After this, I took the metro back to Prague Castle so I could walk to Charles Bridge. Another name for the bridge is called Karluvmost. This has to be one of the most spectacular bridges I have seen since travelling. Well, besides Tower Bridge in London. Charles Bridge was built in 1357 and is graced by 30 statues. I wish there wasn’t so many people on the bridge so I could get a better photo of the whole thing. I am sure everyone else who is on the bridge is thinking the same thing. I am going to have to say that Prague is by far my most favorite city. I am sure that will change, again, with the next city and the next city after that. I still have a few more countries to see before going home.
