I finally made it to London and boy am I tired. I never could sleep all through the night on a plane. I’m sure I am jet-lagged because England is eight hours ahead of us. I finally made it to St. Christopher’s Inn about 3-3:30 pm. It takes over an hour to get from Heathrow to Central London. I didn’t realize the airport was so far away. I didn’t do too much today. I tried to get some sleep because I was so tired, but I couldn’t fall asleep. I don’t think it helped that the room was so cold. I am trying to figure out where the heater is so I can get some heat on in this room. Well, I thought I got away from the snow in Yosemite. Wrong! It started snowing here a little while ago. Nothing that is going to stick to the ground. I never figured London for snow. I figured if anything it would be rainy and foggy. Not yet.
I happen to be the only one in the room right now. I haven’t met anyone who will be sharing the room with me. I am hoping someone will show up soon and I can get the initial hello’s out of the way. I have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow. I guess I will just play it by ear and see what happens. I guess I should try and get on the net to see if any of the friends I met on the net who were London bound have come up with a meeting place so we can get together while I am here. I also need to find a payphone to call Noujan’s sister, Maryam, as well.
